There is no universal acceleration scale in galaxies

Abstract Recently, many studies have seemed to reveal the existence of some correlations between dark matter and baryonic matter. In particular, unexpected tight radial acceleration relation (RAR) discovered in rotating galaxies has drawn a lot attention. The RAR suggests universal fundamental scale galaxies, which seems challenge ΛCDM model favor modified gravity theories. A large debate about whether is compatible with arisen. Here, by analyzing high-quality velocity dispersion profiles 13 E0-type elliptical SDSS-IV MaNGA sample assuming power-law function radius r for 3D each galaxy, we report show that resultant more than 5σ deviations from late-type galaxies.
